ORICO was established in 2013 and is a joint venture between Vietnam Northern Food Corporation (Vinafood 1), one of the largest rice exporters in Vietnam with an average annual output of 1 million tons of rice, and Louis Dreyfus Company, a world-leading merchant and processor of agricultural commodities with annual sales of USD 70 billion and a rice trading volume of over 3 million tons per year.
The company was founded with the goal of directly producing and exporting Vietnamese rice to the global market.
